MEMORY BOOK WRITTEN IN RUNYANKORE. (The information below is in English, but when you click on the different sections, you will see the text of the Memory Book is in Runyankore.)

The Memory Book starts with ideas about how to make a Memory Book for yourself or your family.

It includes ideas for page headings, which cover information about both parents, the family history and traditions and many other things that you will want to tell your children.

You will also find pages with maps of Uganda and the wider world so you can show where different family members live.

Another page provides a layout to help you make a family tree.

You can print out the whole of the Memory Book at one go. But if the internet connection is limited, or if it is too expensive, you can print out each section as you need it.

The different sections are explained below. Just click on the section you want to use:

  1. The full Memory Book with the guidelines and page headings and all the extra pages including maps and family tree.
  2. Memory Book guidelines only. This explains how to make your Memory Book.
  3. Page Headings. You can copy the ones you want to use on to pages of your Memory Book. Or you can print out the whole list, cut up the headings and stick them on to the pages of your Book.
  4. Mango Tree outline. This is a simple family and friends “tree” to help collect names and pictures of people who are important to the family.
  5. Family Tree outline. This is a more formal way of showing how family members are related.
  6. Outline Maps including Uganda, the whole of Africa and the world.
